Last week I was in Fowey, Cornwall on a shoot with Lisa Devlin (more of that later) and I jumped at the chance of a roadtrip, not just because I get to exercise my creative half, but because it meant that I also got the chance to catch up with my cousin Cathy. She moved from London in 2010.. Why? because she was in love with Fowey (why wouldn’t you be) and wanted a career change and to start something of her own.
The result? THE LIFEBUOY CAFE – a quirky delight with bumper breakfasts and old school feasts like homemade fish finger sandwiches on the menu. We are obviously big fans.. and more so now her husband has opened a takeaway round the corner LAZY JACKS KITCHEN specialising in premium Cornish fayre … from pasties to icecream. Not only does she have a great menu – but she also collects nostalgic games and bits and pieces for you to play with while you munch.. from etch a sketch to retro view masters (see how collecting this stuff runs in the family).
So instead of heading to the Northern surfing beaches, why not steer South to this fab coastal town, pop in for a cuppa and say ‘hi’ from me x
