Oh my gosh… I could hardly bear the excitement when the team at Cross Stitcher Magazine sent me this picture, hot from the photo shoot of the JULY project I have designed for the cover. As you know, I write a regular column for the mag.. and for the Summer cover we were working with some new overdyed evenweaves which we will soon have in stock at Granny Knits (the crafty crew can’t wait!).
The design brief was to create something new and crafty to stitch for the outdoors with a folklore feel. Inspired by my morrocan slippers and of course my normal madcap palette.. I came up with these beauties.. the pattern was a shocker to create – as grids are square, and I wanted to make this round! But the effort was worth the result and I think the team have outshone themselves on the finish with this one.
Well done Harriet and co, yet another corker and I look forward to finished mag..
