Here is a sneaky peek of next months Cross Stitcher (issue 240) ..  and the theme is the Garden.  With the recent sunshine it probably couldnt be more perfectly timed – as Summertime has sprung on us with real vigour!
I will save the full article context for the magazine – but for now will share with  you my 70’s floral project which will be available in the magazine.
Also included are these pics of my recent bargain purchase of a classic cottage garden scene – which exemplifies perfectly the amazing effects you can get with some simple crewel work techniques.  I love this kind of work so much –  that I am working on a few mini projects for a new area of Granny Knits.  I love the texture and variety of this freeform embroidery, and hope to work our colourful yet contemporary twist onto some designs to share with you.
