Cross Stitcher 236 March

Today the latest Cross Stitcher magazine hit the mat… the fourth of my project / column collaboration with the industry No 1 mag.
This month I have designed the cover project – a selection of mini butterflies based on my Wool Bright Butterfly kits.  The ones in the magazine are slightly smaller – and the colours picked from more muted shades of pink, blue and red.  But the shapes are still organic, and lovely – and I hope that this design appeals to both the seasoned stitchers (who like projects that they can mix and match with their own yarn stash – and embellish something with their own style) and the new stitchers …
The Pom Pom flowers on the other hand were a complete experiment – using our mini pom pom makers, I wanted to create something fun, simple and innovative, which paid homage to the past in a fresh way.  I hope that you like it.
This week the THRIFTY post has had some really positive feedback – and I think both of the patterns in the magazine are perfect for using up an old stash of yarn and trying out your first project.
We have also just launched our new Cross Stitcher page on our website – which gives the latest updates on my designs for the magazine and the ability to buy PDF copies of the stranded cotton patterns.  This is in particular for our customers overseas who cannot get hold of the magazine, but have asked me for the patterns…  we dont like to publish them ahead of the magazine – but you may get some sneaky peeks ahead of time!..
Please post your finished pieces on line on our FACEBOOK PAGE as we give prizes regularly and love to hear from you
Happy Stitching – love j x
